Silent Book Club will be at First Glass Wine Bar located at 725 W Miller St, Newark, NY 14513.
The air tingles with prose. Everyone is smiling. People congregate at nearby tables, together as a group, but they aren't talking. Books adorn tables and tote bags dangle from chairs, wine awaits, the aroma of edibles wafts by, and the smack of bowling balls rolls in from the next room, but at these tables, silence rings out.
A Silent Book Club is meeting.
It’s simple yet revolutionary: Members meet up at any venue that will host them. Once gathered, silent reading time commences. After an hour, everyone stretches, looks around, comes out of their blissful book coma, smiles and sighs.
There are no rules other than bring a book.
Any book you want.
And read.
